Description | It occurs on lower rocky slopes, mainly on clay, where it is localized to the ecotone between renosterveld and fynbos. |

It is known from between 13 and 18 subpopulations. This taxon has had 41 observations posted on the iNaturalist platform between 2007 and 2023 from across its range, from these observations we infer that the population is still locally common, stable and not declining.
