Justification
This species is widespread and is found across South and East Africa. It has a national extent of occurrence (EOO) of 658 814 km², and an area of occupancy (AOO) of 368 km². It is not in danger of extinction, and is therefore listed as Least Concern.

Range
This species has an unusual disjunct distribution in South and tropical East Africa. In the Eastern Cape, it is reported from Port Elizabeth to Queenstown and Kieskamma. It has also been recorded in Mozambique, Malawi, Tanzania and Zambia.

Description
It occurs in woodland and grassland.
Threats
This species has no threats and is not in danger of extinction.
Population

Nationally, it is known from at least 25 subpopulations, majority of which are found in the Eastern Cape. The population trend of this species is unknown, but it does not appear to be threatened.
