Justification
This subspecies has an extent of occurrence (EOO) of 1074 km², and an area of occupancy (AOO) of 52 km². It is known from between six to 10 subpopulations. It has no known threats and is therefore listed as Least Concern.

This taxon is endemic to the Western Cape province, South Africa and is restricted to the southern foothills of the Swartberg between Calitzdorp and De Rust.
