Justification
EOO 1750 km², known from less than 10 locations. Grassland transformation by agriculture and forestry has severely reduced suitable habitat. Most areas of the Noodsberg and Little Noodsberg are transformed to forestry plantations, commercial sugarcane cultivation and subsistence agriculture or degraded due to severe overgrazing. The grasslands between Nkandla and Melmoth are almost completely under forestry plantations and much of the habitat around Mahlabatini is severely degraded due to livestock overgrazing and subsistence farming.
