Description
Dolerite outcrops on dolerite-clay soils.
Threats
Parts of this species' habitat has been lost to crop fields, but only a small proportion (<5%) has thus far been irreversibly modified. It is also possibly threatened by overgrazing around Nieuwoudtville and on the Roggeveld Escarpment.
Population

This species is locally common. When first described, it was known from only a small area east of Nieuwoudtville (Manning and Goldblatt 2001), however, further research revealed it to be much more widespread and common (Cron 2013).
