Population

This subspecies is known from only a few, widely scattered records, but it is quite likely overlooked due to confusion with I. rapunculoides. It occurs in a variety of transitional habitats and the extent of habitat loss is difficult to estimate. More surveys are needed to better estimate the size and extent of the population.
