Description
Seasonally wet or marshy places in deep sandy soils.
Threats
This species is specific to deep sandy soils, which are highly threatened by rooibos tea cultivation, with many subpopulations recently lost to expanding crop fields. The rapid agricultural development has all but eliminated this species from much of its highly restricted range (Goldblatt and Manning 2011).
