Justification
A very rare, highly localized species (EOO 19 km²), known from only four locations and declining due to ongoing loss and degradation of its habitat due to expanding rooibos tea cultivation and overgrazing.

Description
Sandy soils in marshy places that remain moist well into the dry season.
Threats
Threatened by ongoing habitat loss, degradation and fragmentation as a result of expansion of rooibos tea cultivation. Known locations are severely affected by overgrazing and trampling by livestock.
