Justification
Several subpopulations of this taxon have undoubtedly been lost to urbanisation and alien vegetation, especially on the west coast forelands, although the species still has a wide distribution, and is frequent in the northern parts of the Table Mountain National Park (Trinder-Smith, 2006). It is therefore assessed as Least Concern.
