Justification
This species is known from less than 10 locations, from a restricted range (EOO 730 km²). It is currently declining due to coastal development and invasive alien plants. It is therefore listed as Vulnerable under criterion B.

Description
It grows in dunes and sandy slopes.
Threats
This species is threatened by urbanisation which is a severe past, and moderate ongoing threat at Port Elizabeth, Kenton on Sea and St. George's Strand. Alien plants are an ongoing threat throughout this species' range, particularly Acacia cyclops which favours dune habitats.
