Justification | Bobartia aphylla is abundant and widespread with an extent of occurrence (EOO) of 40 715 km², and an area of occupancy (AOO) of 340 km². It is known from between 15 and 20 subpopulations, and the population is considered to be stable. Despite the loss of suitable habitat in parts of its range, it does not meet the criteria for any of the threat categories and is therefore listed as Least Concern (LC). |

Range | This species is endemic to South Africa. It extends along the southern coast and near inland, from Mossel Bay in the Western Cape province to Plettenberg Bay in the Eastern Cape province. It occurs from near sea level up to 600 m above sea level on the Outeniqua, Tsitsikamma and Langeberg mountains. |
