Justification
Romulea syringodeoflora is a range-restricted Roggeveld endemic, known from nine locations and possibly occurring at a few more in unsurveyed parts of its range. It is suspected to occur at less than 15 locations in total. It has an extent of occurrence (EOO) of 474 km² and is experiencing ongoing decline of habitat due to crop cultivation as well as habitat degradation as a result of livestock overgrazing. It is listed as Near Threatened based on the criteria B1ab(ii,iii)+2ab(ii,iii).

Description
It grows on stony shale flats and slopes.
Threats
Ongoing habitat degradation as a result of livestock overgrazing and trampling is taking place across this species' range. There has also been past loss to crop cultivation. This taxon's preference to mostly flats and slopes makes it vulnerable to the impacts of crop cultivation.
