EOO 9500 km², remaining at 10-20 locations. This subspecies has lost 31% of its habitat across its range since the 1950s, but only about 20% (mainly to forestry plantations) within the last 30-40 years, which corresponds to less than three generations (generation length estimated to be 10-15 years). Habitat loss due to forestry and small-scale farming is continuing. Subpopulations are not severely fragmented.
