Justification
EOO<3000 km², five small, severely fragmented subpopulations remain after most of this species' habitat has been transformed for wheat cultivation. Subpopulations near Eendekuil are declining due to ongoing habitat loss to housing development.

Malmesbury shale with overlaying quartz pebbles.
Threats
This species is threatened by agriculture (wheatlands). The population could be destroyed if further soil erosion occurs or if the area is cultivated (ISEP, 1993). Low cost housing are an additional threat close to Eendekuil, this threat is currently ongoing.
