Justification
This species is known only from one collection, dating from 1933, from an unspecified locality somewhere along the Touws River. Its habitat is not known. It may be overlooked, as the genus Ruschia is in need of revision and species are difficult to identify, but it may also be threatened or possibly extinct. Until subpopulations of this species can be relocated in the wild, its risk of extinction cannot be assessed.
