Population

This species is known from a single collection, dating from 1962. The only known location is now a private nature reserve adjoining the Baviaanskloof Nature Reserve, and it is unlikely to be threatened. The area is mountainous and botanically still relatively poorly explored, and it is likely that other subpopulations exist.
