Justification
Ruschia campestris is a poorly known species from the western Karoo with an extent of occurrence (EOO) of 1458 km². It has only been recorded three times and there are no collections post 1953. There is a possibility that this species is threatened by livestock overgrazing, furthermore the genus Ruschia requires taxonomic revision. Based on currently available data, its risk of extinction cannot be assessed. It is listed as Data Deficient.
