Justification
EOO<2700 km², five severely fragmented remaining subpopulations continue to decline due to habitat degradation and expanding crop cultivation. It is also potentially threatened by road widening.

Description
Clay with overlaying quartz pebbles.
Threats
Agriculture (ploughing) is a severe past and ongoing threat. Dumping is another threat to this species, renosterveld is considered uitval grond and is often used for dumping. Road widening is a potential future threat at Piquenierskloof (Greys pass).
