Description | It occurs in coastal wooded grasslands and margins of coastal forests and thickets, often near wetlands. |
Threats |
Hermbstaedtia caffra has lost 57% of its habitat to urban expansion, coastal development and sugarcane cultivation, and this loss continues. |
Population |
This widespread species is still common in spite of extensive habitat loss. Recent field observations recorded persistence at many locations. It is however declining due to ongoing habitat loss and degradation.
