This species remains poorly known and difficult to assess. Attempts to relocate this species in intervening years has not been successful. Until taxonomic revision can resolve the distribution range, its risk of extinction cannot be confidently assessed. It is therefore listed as Data Deficient - Taxonomically Problematic (DDT).

Population

This species is only known from a few collections, collected in Pakhuis. It was last recorded in 1980, and no other collections have yet been matched to this description. As the whereabouts of this species are unknown, it is not possible to determine its range size or population trend.
