Threats |
This species occurs in remote montane areas where grazing pressure is currently low. It may increase in future as lowland rangelands become increasingly degraded. This species' preference for rocky crevices on steep slopes may offer it some protection against the effects of grazing and trampling. |
Population |
This species is common on all the central Richtersveld mountains (P.C.V. van Wyk pers. obs.).
