Justification | This taxon was discovered in 2011 and described in 2013, and is currently only known from the type locality which occurs within the Richtersveld National Park. This region is poorly surveyed and it is likely that a few more subpopulations of this taxon exist. It is therefore listed under the IUCN 3.1 Criteria, globally, as Least Concern but is nationally categorised as Rare. |

Description | Plants grow on south-facing slopes, in full sun on these cooler slopes, in very rocky soil. |

It has no reported threats. This species occurs in the remote, arid eastern parts of the Richtersveld where grazing pressure is low. |
