Description
Grassland, marshes, moist seepage areas or alongside stream banks in permanently waterlogged black turf soil on rocky upper and summit slopes, 800-1000 m.
Threats
1) Grazing by cattle poses a current, direct threat to the species' habitat through trampling and eutrophication of waterways (R.C. Turner pers. obs., Port Edward). 2) General surrounding (not direct) habitat destruction and land degradation due to: a) banana, sugar-cane and tea farming, b) other cash crops.
