Justification | A relatively widespread species occurring from Mossel Bay to Humansdorp (EOO > 10 000 km²), there are at least 5 known locations but this species occurs on mountain slopes and there are vast areas of unexplored habitat within its range. Most collections have been made on mountain passes. We therefore suspect that there are more than 10 locations and that this species is not threatened or rare. It has lost habitat in the past to commercial forestry plantations but this threat is no longer ongoing. |
