Description
Marshy seeps and moist gullies at high altitudes.
Threats
Potentially threatened by too frequent fire - the area has burnt twice within 10 years. The slopes of the Stettynsberg are also partially infested by alien invasive hakeas and pines, which could threaten this species if left unmanaged.

Only one subpopulation of about 30 plants is known.

The population occurs on private land outside the boundaries of the Limietberg Nature Reserve and is not currently protected.
