Justification
Four small, isolated subpopulations, each with fewer than 50 mature individuals, are declining due to too frequent fire: most of the small range (EOO<160 km²) has burnt three times in 12 years. The establishment of Citrus and Protea orchards have also caused habitat loss, and continue to expand. The development of mountain holiday cottages on Engelsman se Baken is likely to have resulted in the extinction of one subpopulation.
