Justification | A range-restricted endemic to the Agulhas Plain (EOO 632 km²), known from six locations and declining due to competition from severe, unmanaged infestations of alien invasive plants. |

Threats |
Threatened by competition from unmanaged, dense infestations of alien wattles at at least five of the six known locations. Two subpopulations are protected within De Hoop Nature Reserve, but one occurs in an area also affected by alien invasive plants. Efforts have been made to clear alien plants inside the reserve, but ongoing management and clearing is required to prevent reinvasion. |
