Description | Seasonally moist lower slopes and flats, in deep sand or gravelly sand at interface between sandstone and ferricrete. |
Threats |
| Threatened by ongoing habitat loss and fragmentation due to expanding crop cultivation, competition from unmanaged alien invasive plants and severe overgrazing due to overstocking of small fragments. |
Population |
Subpopulations tend to be small, consisting of between 100 and 200 plants, however, a subpopulation of about 10 000 mature individuals has been recently recorded to the west of Napier.
