Description
Limestone boulders, cliff faces and ridge tops.
Threats
Alien invasive wattles are present in low densities on the limestone ridges of Groot Hagelkraal, but is being managed. Ongoing management is however necessary to prevent alien plants from spreading and becoming a threat to this species. The site is one of a number of sites under consideration for the construction of a new nuclear power plant for the Western Cape, but no final decisions have been taken yet.
Population

The species is known from a single subpopulation, where it is locally common within a restricted, specialized habitat.
