EOO 10 km², this rare, localized habitat specialist is known from two to three locations and is potentially threatened by competition from alien invasive plants and too frequent fire.

Description
Fynbos, rocky mountain summits, ridges and slopes.
Threats
Potentially threatened by competition from alien invasive pines which are spreading unchecked from the lower southern slopes of the Riviersonderend Mountains. This species is also potentially threatened by too frequent fire - this part of the Riviersonderend Mountains has burnt twice in 10 years - although its rocky habitat may offer some protection from fires.
