Threats |
This species has declined due to urban expansion on the flats to the west of Fernkloof Nature Reserve since its first discovery in this area in the 1980s. Some plants remaining inside the reserve boundary occur within a firebreak, where regular brush cutting is detrimental to this delicate, single-stemmed species. Alien plants threaten both the subpopulations on the lower slopes of Fernkloof as well as on Babilonstoring. |
