Justification
Only seven plants are known, from three locations within 1 km² of one another. The species is threatened by trampling at all locations. It is therefore listed as Critically Endangered under criteria C and D.

Description
Plants grow on damp, peaty rock ledges and cliff faces, 600-1 000 m.
Threats
This slow growing, long-lived reseeder is threatened by trampling at all known localities.
Population

Only seven plants are known out of a total of 262 atlassed plants, at three out of the four known localities for Erica caterviflora.

Notes
Erica caterviflora var. glabrata is distinuguishable from var. caterviflora in the field by its entirely hairless flowers. Plants occur in mixed stands with var. caterviflora, but will be retained as a variant.
