Justification
An extremely localized species, EOO <1 km², and known from one location where the only known remaining subpopulation is threatened by competition from alien invasive plants, orchard expansion and dam construction.

Description
Sandy flats and stony, rocky areas with quartzitic gravels.
Threats
Extensive habitat transformation within the Elgin Valley has likely led to the loss of the majority of this species' habitat, and it is currently known from a single remaining subpopulation. It is threatened by competition from alien invasive plants and potentially expansion of nearby fruit orchards and enlargement of the Arieskraal Dam.
