Justification
EOO 200 km², fewer than 15 locations know. The more eastern Onder-Kouga subpopulations have declined due to agriculture and grazing, alien plant invasion and frequent fire. Subpopulations north-east of Uniondale are still healthy and not declining.

Description
Fynbos, in rocky outcrops on mountain slopes.
Threats
In the western part of its distribution range, where the species occurs on more arid slopes and rocky outcrops, subpopulations are still healthy, and not threatened. Further east however, subpopulations have suffered severely, and continues to decline due to habitat loss to crop cultivation, overgrazing and too frequent fire.
