Justification
A rare, range-restricted species with an extent of occurrence of (EOO) <79 km². It is known from the northern slopes of the Langeberg and has no severe threats. It therefore qualifies for listing as Rare nationally and under the IUCN 3.1. criteria as Least Concern.

Threats
This species' habitat is protected and it has no severe threats.
Population

This species is rare and poorly known, last observed in 1987. More field surveys are needed to better understand the population size and structure. As it has no known threats, the population is not suspected to be declining, but field monitoring is needed to confirm this.
