Assessor(s) | R.C. Turner, E.G.H. Oliver & L. von Staden |
Justification | A rare species, known from two locations, with an EOO 28 km², and potentially threatened by alien plant invasion, frequent fire and drought-related mortality events. |

Provincial distribution | Western Cape |
Range | Langeberg Mountains between Heidelberg and Riversdale. |

Threats |
One subpopulation is potentially threatened by too frequent fire as the area has burnt twice in the past eight years. Both locations have exotic pine plantations nearby and escaping pine seedlings could potentially outcompete native plants if left unmanaged. This species is also possibly sensitive to drought. |
Population |
Known from two subpopulations on two of the highest peaks in the Langeberg, approximately 38 km apart.
