Threats
About 30-50% of this species' habitat has been transformed to commercial timber plantations, and although plantations have been cleared in some areas, land cover data indicate that it has been largely expanding in the past 10-15 years. In areas where plantations have been cleared, as well as sites adjacent to existing plantations, subpopulations are threatened by extensive alien plant infestations, particularly exotic pine seedlings regenerating in cleared areas.
