Description
Steep, moist slopes, on peaty rock ledges and cliff faces.
Threats
Potentially threatened by competition from alien invasive plants on Noordhoek Mountain, at Silvermine and the Swartkop Mountain. Alien invasive plants have been largely cleared on the Cape Peninsula, but ongoing management is needed to prevent reinvasion - in some areas dense regrowth of alien plants have been observed (R.C. Turner, pers. obs.) Plants on the Muizenberg Mountain are potentially threatened by too frequent fire.
