Description
Stream banks and seepage areas on south-facing slopes in fynbos.
Threats
Threatened by ongoing habitat destruction and degradation due to disruption of streams and seeps as a result of agricultural development (roads and other infrastructure), water extraction and crop cultivation. Many drainage lines are also infested with alien invasive plants.
Population

The population size was estimated in the 1970s as consisting of less than 10 000 plants, but no current estimates are available.
