EOO 884 km², plants at between six and 10 locations continue to decline due to competition from unmanaged alien invasive plants.

Description
Damp, upper south-facing slopes above forests.
Threats
About 23% of this species' habitat has been transformed to forestry plantations. Although plantations have been cleared in some areas, these sites remain densely infested with alien invasive pines. Elsewhere on the southern slopes of both the Outeniqua and Tsitsikamma mountains, unmanaged, dense infestations of alien invasive plants continue to spread.
