Justification
Known from one small population where there are fewer than 250 mature individuals. Possibly threatened by invasive Hakea and Pinus spp., which have infested surrounding slopes.

Description
Fynbos, on rocky or sandy south- to southeast-facing slopes, on low coastal mountains.
Threats
Potentially threatened by competition from alien invasive plants. Alien infestations have been cleared, but ongoing management is required to prevent reinvasion. Habitat loss to expansion of vineyards on the lower slopes is also a potential threat.
Population

Known from a single small subpopulation of fewer than 250 mature individuals, but not currently threatened or declining.
