Justification
This rare, range-restricted (EOO 845 km²), slow-growing habitat specialist (AOO <20 km²) is known from only seven locations and is potentially threatened by too frequent fire and drought.

Description
Upper summit slopes, under damp, peaty overhangs and on rocky ledges.
Threats
A slow-growing reseeder, this species is potentially threatened by too frequent fire. Mortality due to drought or too frequent fire has been observed on the Skurweberg (R.C. Turner, pers. obs., 2004 and 2005).
