Justification
A rare, cryptic dwarf species with an area of occupancy (AOO) of 20 km², often growing on fire-protected, inaccessible cliffs. It has no known threats, and is therefore listed under the IUCN 3.1 Criteria, globally, as Least Concern but is nationally categorised as Rare.

The species is found in the Riviersonderend Mountains above Greyton and on Pilaarkop in the Western Cape Province of South Africa.

Description
It grows on south facing damp, shady rock faces.
Threats
Despite alien invasive plants degrading the Riviersonderend mountains where this species occurs, its habitat remains intact.

This species is known from a few collections. As it has no severe threats, the population is not suspected to be declining.
