Justification
EOO <100 km², AOO <2 km². Three remaining subpopulations are severely fragmented and declining due to alien invasions of the habitat at two and fire break and road maintenance at the other.
Distribution
Endemism
South African endemic
Provincial distribution
Western Cape

Description
Fynbos, in sandy soils on flats.
Threats
The population has been fragmented by habitat loss to agriculture, and plants remain on small fragments, such as road verges and firebreaks where they are threatened by construction and maintenance activities. A third subpopulation is threatened by competition from severe alien invasive plant infestations.
Population

Two subpopulations are known from roadsides and firebreaks, one consisting of 20 plants and the other of 150 plants. A third subpopulation of about 200 plants occur in a alien invasive infested streambed. Subpopulations are small, isolated and declining due to ongoing habitat loss and degradation.

Population trend
Decreasing
Conservation
None of the subpopulations are currently protected.
