Justification
A range-restricted species (EOO 166 km²), that has lost most of its habitat to timber plantations. Between three and five remaining locations continue to decline due to habitat degradation and competition from unmanaged alien invasive plants.

Description
Moist south-facing slopes.
Threats
Most of this species' habitat on the Van Stadens Mountains has been planted up with timber plantations. Remaining areas of fynbos are all infested with unmanaged alien invasive plants, and are being continually degraded due to a lack of fire.
