Justification
A rare, range-restricted high-altitude habitat specialist that has an extent of occurrence (EOO) of 97 km². It is known from only three sites but has not been seen for several decades. The population is suspected to be stable, and it therefore qualifies under the IUCN 3.1 criteria as Least Concern but is nationally recognised as Rare.

The species occurs in the Franschhoek and Du Toit's Kloof Mountains in the Western Cape Province of South Africa.

Description
This fynbos species occurs on southern sandstone slopes and is local to cliffs on middle to upper slopes.
Threats
It has no known threats.
Population

There is no information on the status of the population as all known records predate 1966. As a cliff dwelling species, it is difficult to access the population. It is however suspected to be stable.
