Justification | Subpopulations at lower altitudes have declined due to habitat loss to forestry plantations and crop cultivation. Only one location within an EOO and AOO of 3 km² remain. Decline continues due to alien plant invasions, livestock grazing and wheat and vineyard expansion. |

Threats |
Gum plantations and litter threaten stands at Shaw's Pass.
Plants on Steenboksberg, Shaw's Mountain and Babilonstoring are threatened by pine and Hakea species, and Babilonstoring has also burnt twice within the past six years.
The lower altitudinal range of this species (Oliver 11118, 120m, NBG) (the Hemel en Aarde Valley and northern side of the range) is threatened by Acacia species, grazing, wheat fields and vineyards. |
