Threats |
Subpopulations in southern Mpumalanga and the Free State are threatened by ongoing habitat loss and degradation, predominantly due to development of agricultural infrastructure such as dams and drainage of wetlands, as well as erosion and degradation of wetland systems due to overgrazing. Its habitat in the KwaZulu-Natal Drakensberg is well-protected and subpopulations in this area have no severe threats. |
