Justification
Dombeya autumnalis has a restricted distribution range between the Limpopo and Mpumalanga provinces. It is threatened by firewood collection around rural settlements, but subpopulations in isolated areas are safe. Although there are ongoing threats in some parts of its range, it is not yet in danger of extinction.

Description
It is a shrub or small tree which can reach heights of up to 5 m tall. It grows on rocky hillsides.
Threats
This species is threatened by firewood collection around rural settlements, but subpopulations in isolated areas are safe, and this species is not currently in serious decline (J. Burrows pers. comm. 2006). At least 28% of this species' habitat is irreversibly modified, mainly due to degradation and cultivation (NLC 1996).
