Justification
EOO 12 000 km², known from five collections although a few more undiscovered subpopulations are likely, less than 10 locations are suspected. Habitat is declining as a result of agricultural expansion and heavy mineral sand mining along the coast.

Description
West Coast strandveld or succulent karoo shrubland, either white or red sandy Aeolian soils, under small karroid bushes.
Threats
Mining (heavy mineral sands) is a severe threat. Agriculture has also been named a threat to this species in the Velddrift (potatoes and onions) and Vanrhynsdorp (vineyards, rooibos) areas (ongoing threat).
